Avalanche Awareness Training
FREE Avalanche Awareness Education for Everyone!

When: January 3rd & 4th, 2025
Hosted by the Cody Country Snowmobile Association
Training by Teton Avalanche Center through Recreation Trails Program (RTP) grant funding.
Friday evening will be at the Holiday Inn - Cody at 6:30 p.m. Food will be provided.
Saturday field class – meet at the Beartooth Safety Shelter at 10 a.m. (own safety gear including beacon, shovel, and probe plus a way to get up the mountain)
Lunch & water will be provided.
This training is open to anybody that recreates on the snow.
Fantastic prize drawings both Friday and Saturday.
Gear Bag Raffle
CCSA Highway Cleanup and Back Trail Cleanup
We will meet at the pull out on the 2-Dot Flats on Chief Joseph Highway for highway cleanup (weather depending). We will then travel to Pilot Creek to drive the back trail and cleanup any fallen timber. Bring a 4-wheeler or side by side, and your lunch.
Cut Wood for Beartooth Safety Shelter
Meet at the Crandall Dump across from the K bar Z Guest ranch at 9am and then go to the wood cutting area.

Back Trail Cleanup
We will be meeting at the Pilot Creek Parking area. Please join us, bring a UTV, a saw if you have one, and your lunch
