This is a message from your CCSA president the Head Sled,

Well we had our October Cody Snowmobile club meeting on the 7th.  We had a great turnout with about 16 members and some good potluck cooking.

To bring you up to date on what we discussed and some up coming events here I go.

Reminder: our highway cleanup is scheduled for Sunday, October 18th and in conjunction with that we will also do the back trail clean up.  We will meet at the Chief Joseph game check pull out at 10:00 AM from there we will cleanup the highway. After the cleanup we will drive into Crandall and meet at the Pilot Creek parking area. We will ride the back trail and remove any down trees. So bring your lunch, work clothes and your ATV's or UTV's and a chain saw or two. Should be some fun.

We also had a brief discussion on the Wyoming State Snowmobile Association's Scholarship  and Access Wyoming fund raisers for the future.  The discussion was about joining the efforts of the two in a 75-25 split at Fun Days involving the Schnapps bottle auction. We had a lot of good discussion which brings out the theory and what folks thought the pro's and cons would be.  Thanks for all the great input on this subject and we will continue the discussion next month.

Hey here is a money maker! We have the Wyoming State Snowmobile Association raffle tickets available. They sell for 1 for $10.00 or 6 for $50.00 plus we get 1/2 of the money for the tickets that we sell. What a deal!!  We are doing VISA cards this year 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $750, 3rd place $500 and 20 places to win $50 each.  If you would like some tickets to sell or even buy please stop in and see Bert at Denny Menholt Chevy and he will get you fixed up.

As it goes I think we are trying to get a Wyoming snowmobiling presentation for Dec 7th Cody Chamber luncheon. This would be a information luncheon to update folks on what has been happening in our state and area with snowmobiling. Sounds like a lot of information. This will be in the Cody Club room.

Also a few more updates: The Safety Shelter is loaded with wood and is up at its winter resting place at Island Lake campground waiting for snow and the season to start.  Also we would like to welcome our newest board of director Dennis Meabon. We also need your help finding a new WSSA secretary as Brenda has retired.  Please let us know if you would like to become CCSA's secretary, Brenda will be happy to help you.

Our next meeting will be November 4th at our new home the basement of the Cody Law Enforcement center below the hill and we will be ordering Pizza for dinner.   So come and have some fun, enter our 50/50 raffle and you could be a winner like Dustin Rosencranse.

Until then THINK SNOW!!!

Thanks All, Levi Signor your CCSA President
